Finding a Family Doctor

Note: In case of an emergency in Ontario, go to a hospital or call 911.

In the Province of Ontario, a family doctor or nurse practitioner is your primary health care provider – meaning they are the person you make an appointment with when you have a non-emergency health concern.

For information, please visit these web sites:

As we recognize finding  a primary health care provider is challenging if you have not yet settled here, if you are an incoming or recently appointed faculty member, ask the Faculty Relocation Service for a primary health care provider name. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the doctors will be accepting new patients or the location of these doctors. Please also check with your colleagues for primary health care providers accepting new patients.
